1.救贖的目的—事奉祂

• 出9:1 耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你進去見法老，對他說：『耶和華－希伯來人的上帝這樣說：容我的百姓去，好事奉我。Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, so that they may worship me.” 
• 申10:12 以色列啊，現在耶和華－你上帝向你所要的是甚麼呢？只要你敬畏耶和華你的上帝，遵行他的道，愛他，盡心盡性事奉他.  And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul

2.事奉的管道—器皿

• 徒9:15 主對亞拿尼亞說：「你只管去！他是我所揀選的器皿，要在外邦人和君王，並以色列人面前宣揚我的名。But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.
• 賽64:8 耶和華啊，現在你仍是我們的父！ 我們是泥，你是窯匠；我們都是你手的工作。Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
• 弗2:10 我們原是他的工作，在基督耶穌裏造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是上帝所預備叫我們行的。For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
• 羅9:20-21 你這個人哪，你是誰，竟敢向上帝強嘴呢？受造之物豈能對造他的說：「你為甚麼這樣造我呢？」窯匠難道沒有權柄從一團泥裏拿一塊做成貴重的器皿，又拿一塊做成卑賤的器皿嗎？But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’ Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?
• 詩139:14我要稱謝你，因我受造，奇妙可畏； 你的作為奇妙，這是我心深知道的。praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
• 王下4:5-6 於是，婦人離開以利沙去了，關上門，自己和兒子在裏面；兒子把 器皿拿來，她就倒油。器皿都滿了，她對兒子說：「再給我拿器皿來。」兒子說：「再沒有器皿了。」油就止住了。She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.” But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

3.器皿的種類—貴重的?卑賤的?

• 提後2:20-21 在大戶人家，不但有金器銀器，也有木器瓦器；有作為貴重的，有作為卑賤的。人若自潔，脫離卑賤的事，就必作貴重的器皿，成為聖潔，合乎主用，預備行各樣的善事。In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

4.器皿的價值—在於裡面的寶貝

• 羅9:23-24 又要將他豐盛的榮耀彰顯在那蒙憐憫、早預備得榮耀的器皿上。這器皿就是我們被上帝所召的，不但是從猶太人中，也是從外邦人中。這有甚麼不可呢？What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? 
• 林後4:7 我們有這寶貝放在瓦器裏，要顯明這莫大的能力是出於上帝，不是出於我們。But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
